I'm a happy woman!!  I've been called a "Pollyanna" - I tend to see the beauty in life.  I talk of how LOVE WINS, but I also have seen hate, greed, lust, and evil win too.

TEDx - WHO IS KAREN WHITE SEPTEMBER 10, 2024 That is a good question!!  I haven't always been Karen White - now "Karen White" for five years.   I was a college professor for thirty-eight years.  I've lived in Iowa (my birthplace), Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, South Dakota, Oregon, and Connecticut, and now I'm in Georgetown,  Texas (just outside of Austin). Texas is the Center of the University

  THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2024 - CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE I have this gag t-shirt - “Texas, Center of the Universe.” And that message is totally right (and totally wrong). Why is Texas the center of the universe? Consider a circle. A circle has a center. From that center, it is an equal distance to the line of the circle (we’d call that a “radius” - or radii (plural)). From Texas to the farthest reaches of the universe is an equal distance!! (Really?) It is an infinite number of lightyears to any of the “edges” of the universe. Going north - it is an endless number of lightyears to the edge of the universe; going south - - it is also an infinite number of lightyears to the edge of the universe. Thus, Texas is the center of the universe!!! (WOW). (And, native Texans “believe” that they are in the center of the universe). ***** That t-shirt message is also totally wrong (at least to me).
