Texas is the Center of the University

I have this gag t-shirt - “Texas, Center of the Universe.”

And that message is totally right (and totally wrong).

Why is Texas the center of the universe? Consider a circle. A circle has a center. From that center, it is an equal distance to the line of the circle (we’d call that a “radius” - or radii (plural)).

From Texas to the farthest reaches of the universe is an equal distance!! (Really?) It is an infinite number of lightyears to any of the “edges” of the universe. Going north - it is an endless number of lightyears to the edge of the universe; going south - - it is also an infinite number of lightyears to the edge of the universe. Thus, Texas is the center of the universe!!! (WOW).




(And, native Texans “believe” that they are in the center of the universe).

That t-shirt message is also totally wrong (at least to me). The Center of the Universe is LOVE - and God is LOVE Spirit (not a place). So, regarding location, I suppose every place (and no place) is the Center of the Universe. (God - however you view He/She/It/The Force/The all-knowing, all-loving entity)
